So, in April, we took some massive steps toward making that a reality. From expanding across Europe to making local funding feel like a breeze, here is a rundown into what our users can now do with Onboard.

Beyond the Dollar: GBP & EUR Global Accounts are Live

Since launching Onboard 3.0 in July 2025, the USD account was the star of the show. But we know our users are global citizens. Whether they are freelancers working with London-based agencies or remote workers for European startups, they needed more than just a USD Account and more access to other currencies with ease.

And now, our users can now receive GBP and EUR payments on Onboard!

No more delays or unnecessarily high fees. They can earn globally in multiple currencies, convert to local currencies, and move money between them all within a single dashboard.

Sending money to friends is finally as easy as a text

Our users can now send USD directly to each other using just an email or their BoardPass. It’s instant and "heart-attack free". No addresses, no long paths. Just get their BoardPass, confirm their name and hit send.

By removing the need for long account details or 42-character wallet addresses, we’ve made the experience social and stress-free. It’s our first native P2P feature, and it’s already changing how our community split bills, pay teammates and send money to friends. Watch this guide video to start using this feature.

We’re still having an internal argument on Slack on what to call this feature between Board-to-Board (B2B), BoardPay and BoardDrop.

Simpler, Safer, Faster: NGN One-Time Accounts

In the past, sending Naira to fund a card could feel confusing and sometimes risky. To fix this, we introduced One-Time Accounts.

Now, every time our users want to add Naira to their Flex Card, they get a fresh, unique account number in their own name for that specific transaction.

This makes it crystal clear where the money is going and ensures it lands exactly where it should. It’s safer, faster, and much harder to make a mistake.

The "Little Things" That Make a Big Difference

We spent the final week of April polishing the details that our power users notice:

• Easier Access To Bank Details: Users can now tap "View bank details" directly in their Cash balance to see every currency and its corresponding bank details in one view.
• Card Customisation: To help those managing multiple budgets, we’ve made identification of cards easier. Users can now name and edit their Flex Cards (e.g., "Grocery Card" or "Travel Card") for better tracking.
• Improved Trading & DeFi Dashboard: The crypto tab got a facelift. The crypto tab now shows full dashboards for both Trading and DeFi wallets, so users can view balances and take action without extra steps. It makes those features easier to find and use.
